Create an event flyer Photoshop tutorial

Step 1.

Start off with a new document sized 600×600.

Choose a light blue colour as the background..

Using a clouds brush that you can download from this link , using white as the foreground colour add a few clouds like below. Overlay clouds to get a vivid white effect.

Step 2.

Create a new layer and using a gradient black to white , going from bottom to top make a gradient like below:

Go to Filter-Distort-Wave and use this settings:

This is what you should obtain:

Add it a Gradient Overlay in Layer style:

Now create a new layer under this layer and then select the wave layer right click it Merge Down:

Set blending mode to screen.

Grab a soft eraser and erase the center of this layer like below:

Step 3.

Grab the shape tool and choose the sun waves one. It`s named Registration target 2.

Draw it on a new layer starting from the center of the flyer using a dark grey colour like below:

Set blending mode to vivid light:

This is what it should look like:

Using a soft eraser delete the exterior parts like below:

Step 4.

Create a new layer use a dark gray colour and from the same Shape Tool draw a sun the one I used is called SUN 1.

Set blending mode to colour burn.

Add the following layer styles:

Outer glow:

Inner glow:

Here is the result:

Step 5.

Add your text with a light blue colour:

Set blending mode to colour burn and add the rest of your text and spice it up a little if you want:
